Sheffield United edged past Notts County to move second in League One

Notts went ahead when Alan Judge's 30-yard free-kick floated over the Blades' defence, but Ryan Flynn slotted home the equaliser before half-time.

United's winner came in a frantic second half when defender Alan Sheehan knocked into his own net after tussling with Richard Cresswell.
The Magpies finished the game with 10 men after substitute Ishmel Demontagnac was shown a red card in injury time.

Martin Allen's side, who have slipped away from the promotion places after three straight defeats, took a surprise lead through Judge's 17th-minute free-kick.
Although it was already heading goalwards, striker Lee Hughes may have got a slight touch with his head.
The hosts found their stride after going behind, Flynn striking Cresswell's low cross past goalkeeper Stuart Nelson to make it 1-1 on 31 minutes.

And the Blades were ahead on 51 minutes when, in attempting to block Cresswell, Sheehan unwittingly got the last touch on Stephen Quinn's pass for what proved the matchwinner.
Ched Evans and Matt Lowton both missed second-half chances before Harry Maguire's header was turned over the crossbar by Nelson and Evans fired against the right-hand post late on.
Notts' energy did not falter as Jeff Hughes' long-range effort and Karl Hawley's volley both tested keeper Steve Simonsen.

In the dying seconds of stoppage time, after Blades debutant James Beattie's late introduction, Demontagnac saw red for throwing the ball at Lowton's face.
