Arsenal's Arsene Wenger tight-lipped over Thierry Henry re-signing

Arsene Wenger has refused to comment on speculation that Thierry Henry may be on his way back to Arsenal.

Henry, 34, the Gunners' all-time leading goalscorer, who recently had a statue built outside Emirates Stadium in his honour, does not have to return to the New York Red Bulls until March.
But Wenger said: "There is no story and if we sign anybody we will inform you.
"I am 15 years in England. I have never told before I sign somebody the name of who I will sign."
Last week, Wenger said there was "no chance" of him signing Bolton's Gary Cahill.

But with Arsenal set to lose strikers Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh in January when they go to the Africa Cup of Nations, Wenger may feel that Robin van Persie needs some support.
Henry has been training with the squad in order to retain his fitness.

But Wenger said: "Nothing has happened since last week. I expect nothing at the moment."
Against Wolves, Arsenal could have done with some of the clinical finishing Henry displayed during his eight years at the club, during which he scored 226 times in 370 appearances before moving to Barcelona.
After taking the lead through Gervinho early on, the visitors levelled just before the break when Steven Fletcher diverted Stephen Hunt's shot past Wojciech Szczesny.

But the Polish keeper's opposite number Wayne Hennessey put in a superb display to deny the Gunners three points and a place in the top four.
The 1-1 draw left Wenger frustrated, not least because Wolves were forced to play with 10 men for the last 20 minutes following midfielder Nenad Milijas's sending off for a clumsy foul on Mikel Arteta.
"We gave it our all," Wenger said. "I can't fault the spirit. It was a game that, if you played it 20 times, you win 19, but it was not to be our day.

"We missed a great opportunity but we just have to keep going.
"It is frustrating, but I am more frustrated by the result than the performance and the spirit. You cannot fault the attitude or the commitment or the desire to win the game.
"Their keeper had the game of his life. Wolves fought like mad and well done to them."
