Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill says his players "don't feel they can be beaten" after a confident win at Wigan.
O'Neill's men won 4-1 at the DW Stadium and moved into the top half of the Premier League.
"The players don't feel that they can be beaten at the moment. I think they are enjoying winning football matches," he said.
"I'm delighted with the spirit of the team. They feed off each other and it was a magnificent performance."
The Black Cats' latest success came just two days after they won 1-0 against Premier League leaders Manchester City and took their points tally under O'Neill to 13 in six matches.
And the Northern Irishman believes that the triumph at Wigan is his side's finest since he was appointed.
"I thought it was our best win since I've been here for every reason under the sun," he said.
"The players were out on their feet against Man City a couple of days ago - and had a day less to prepare - but they summoned energy and courage that was fantastic.
"There were one or two games, before I came, when Sunderland didn't have luck. We've had a wee bit of fortune. It's a terrific run for us and has given us a bit of breathing space."
O'Neill also paid tribute to young stars James McClean and Jack Colback, who both had a starring role at Wigan.
Derry-born midfielder McClean, 22, scored his team's second goal and academy product Colback, also 22, produced an impressive display despite twisting an ankle in the warm-up.
The Sunderland boss said: "It was a wonderful performance by McClean, and Colback was absolutely fantastic.
"Colback has gone in and played left-back a couple of times and adjusted brilliantly."
